Driving While Black
The DWB concept car was created to highlight the racism black people face on an everyday basis. What might seem like a harmless traffic stop to others, ends up being a matter of life or death. Police interaction does not look the same for us and it sadly has become a “coming of age” conversation that many black parents have to have with their black children. This car shines a light on the absurdity of standards that we face. Rest in peace to all those who have lost their lives over a “headlight issue.”
Creative Directors- Anthony O'neil & Rony Castro
Art Direction- Ben Burgoyne
Copywriter- Taylor Shea King

My Role
Copywriter: Although I was not apart of the initial concepting stages, the creative directors brought me in on one of the final days to come up with more headlines. Little did I know this would become one of the primary campaign lines for the entire project and it would show up on the main landing page, an OOH billboard, and a kiosk.
